Do stretch marks stay after delivery?
The term stretch mark can be an alarm for the skin aging. Many are in fact aware of this fact and would like to remove them from their skin. Especially for the women after the delivery, they are more worried about this. A large portion of the valuable time is spent on trying to remove this from their skin. Unfortunately not all are successful in this attempt to rid the stretch mark. A lot of means to clear the stretch marks are available in the market, with the doctors and a lot of hear say therapy to remove the mark from your body.
Initially, the stretch marks start as a small probably invisible dainty line over the skin. They are formed owing to the excessive stretching of the skin due to the internal pressure of newly formed tissues. The stretching hampers the production of collagen, an important protein for the skin formation. Since the collagen production has been interfered with the stretching of the skin, the skin layer defends it self by forming a mark in fact it can be called as a scar also.
In case of pregnant women case struggling with the stretch marks, they often occur on their enlarged breasts, fattened thighs, near the naval region, sometimes can also occur on their bumps also. The stretch marks mostly occur after their 6 months when the baby inside the tummy, is expected to grow bigger in size. As the foetus grows in size so will the stomach tissues and finally the skin has to expand to adjust to the tissue expansion. Unfortunately, as the skin does not have a very good elasticity to accommodate the changes, it forms scars or the stretch marks prominently over the skin.
In reality for most of the women after the delivery, these stretch marks do fade away in a due course. But for those who have serious stretch mark problems, it takes a very long time or some times even fails to disappear from the skin. For such cases, it is better to consult a dermatologist for further treatment. In general, these days the common way out of this issue is to under go surgery for the removal of the stretch marks.
Fortunately, the surgery will not take so long to cure the marks over the skin. It takes only few sittings to give a cure for the problem. But, surgery means, shelling a still large sum towards the treatment. It takes approximately $1000 for every sitting. Those who can afford to this amount can royally walk in to the surgery room. Though one thing also has to be under stood that, not every one is benefited from surgery. Some times, a surgery can merely lighten the marks by leaving the rest of the skin intact.
A laser surgery is in fact a better option as it can give a better non invasive and painless cure fast. It also does the same thing as the other surgical methods. It is up to the individual’s decision to choose among the two.
