The happiest time in a woman’s life is knowing she is pregnant with a baby. After conception, women will prepare themselves for the arrival of the new born nine months later. Though the home remedies are inexpensive compared to laser surgery microdermabrasion or creams, they only affect the superficial layer of the epidermis and may not totally remove stretch marks. For women carrying twins or triplets, this situation is exacerbated with more stretching of the skin. Besides the normal symptoms of nausea, headaches, mood swings and so on, stretch marks are another part and parcel of being pregnant. You cannot avoid it all together. Therefore, giving birth and getting pregnant making the woman out of shape is part of nature and God’s creation. Somehow, the woman has the more difficult part of bringing a baby to this world.

She has to go through a lot of inconveniences and sufferings, but at the end of it all, she is filled with joy when the baby comes out. All the signs and symptoms like stretch marks and prevention of them becomes secondary. Even after the baby is born, the stretch marks may remain forever. And the only way to get rid of stretch marks after pregnancy is to opt for laser surgery or the less invasive microdermabrasion. If the husband is willing to foot the bill, then it is a blessing in disguise to undergo such procedures. For laser surgery or cosmetic surgery, there may be risks involved in the removal of stretch marks. So the wife needs to be well informed of the pros and the cons before undergoing such drastic measures.

The most common method is to use home remedies using natural ingredients that are more affordable. All it takes is some knowledge of the recipes to make the concoction or mixture which will be applied directly on the stretch marks on the abdomen. The most commonly used ingredients are vitamin E and vitamin C mixed with vegetables in a blender and are chilled in the refrigerator. It is soothing as the mixture is applied on the abdomen and leave for half an hour before wiping them off.
